Land Rover Championships for Nisse Lüneburg

(Neumünster) Jessica von Bredow-Werndl is the happy winner of the World Cup qualification, Nisse Lüneburg ahead in the Neumünster Championships – Prize of Land Rover Deutschland GmbH – these are the headlines of the third tournament day at the VR CLASSICS. Anticipation continues to rise as on Sunday, there will be two top-notch competitions: the FEI Dressage World Cup, Prize of VR Bank Neumünster, and the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken Grand Prix and with it the decision in the BEMER Riders Tour.

Spending Sunday with Luca Toni
Nisse Lüneburg, who already won the international opening jumping competition on Friday with Look at Me R, also clinched victory in the Land Rover-test, announced with 30,000 Euro prize money. Partner in success was his mare Alina. “It is pretty nice just to change horses,“ the tall rider from Hetlingen/Schleswig-Holstein admitted. He will compete with his top horse Luca Toni in the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken Grand Prix. The total prize money of 75,000 Euro is the highest ever offered for the main event of the VR CLASSICS in Neumünster. Valuable points in the BEMER Riders Tour will be given, too. Last year’s winner Max Haunhorst from Hagen a.T.W./North Rhine-Westphalia and Chaccara finished second behind Lüneburg, followed by third placed Alexa Stais and Quintato from South Africa.

Jessica and Dalera BB celebrated champions
Jessica von Bredow-Werndl from Aubenhausen/Bavaria was overjoyed with her first place with TSF Dalera BB. The mare and her rider successfully showed off all highlights in the Grand Prix de Dressage, Prize of Madeleine Winter-Schulze, and finished with a final score of 81.5%. The numerous visitors enthusiastically celebrated the duo. „I can’t remember having participated at many tournaments where the stands were already crowded for the Grand Prix at nine o’clock in the morning,” emphasized Isabell Werth (Rheinberg) who finished second (78.13%) with Emilio. “He was a bit over-motivated today,” smiled the World Cup title defender. The gelding reacted to the lively atmosphere. Benjamin Werndl, brother of the winning rider, came in third with Famoso OLD. The horse is still comparatively young, but should, if possible, qualify for the Final of the FEI Dressage World Cup in Las Vegas, just like Daily Mirror. The gelding is – what Benjamin Werndl calls – “a really fantastic horse”. Helen Langehanenberg (Billerbeck) earned fourth place with her Damsey FRH.

The question of who will earn most of the points in the FEI Dressage World Cup in Neumünster will be answered on Sunday at 10.00 am in the Prize of VR Bank Neumünster – Grand Prix freestyle. World Cup-newcomer Libuse Mencke will be the first starter. She competes for her home country Czech Republic, but is living in Ganschow/Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Benjamin Werndl and Famoso OLD will be the last ones to start at approx. 12:16 pm. The FEI Dressage World Cup will be available via livestream with FEI TV.
